They would already be stressed. They’re probably physically safer working from home, but what about the loss of social inclusion and workplace support. Has to have an impact.

Great article and just want to add if you are hard of hearing all of the above is heightened even further. When Hard of Hearing time is required ( even if only a few seconds ) to process all conversation and I’m now talking not virtual settings; you utilize all the body language, maybe lip read a little to help process the spoken word. So virtual conversations have additional challenges for people in this position. For those hard of hearing people ( like me ) be brave tell colleagues what you need and colleagues try to put in place what measures the individual suggests.
